A Big Toy

 Somehow Will was able to convince me that it would be in our best interest to buy an excavator. To his credit, they were all very valid reasons and would end up being more affordable to buy a mini excavator than to rent a big one. So although this one has its limitations, it is perfect for what we need it for. 

On delivery day Will was just beaming with excitement. So fun to see!

Digging a ditch to bury some waterlines

Another trench for our fresh water and power lines. Our fresh water hose was going to be wrapped in heat tape so this trench didn't have to be too deep. 

With one of the dustings of snow a few weeks ago we got confirmation that the heat tape is working! 

Having the excavator even came in handy for building our mudroom! And that's a post for another day...
