Delilah's Birthday

Earlier in the month we were blessed to celebrate Delilah's sixth birthday! 

For almost a whole year she has wanted to go hunting with Dad for her birthday. And that day finally came!

Unfortunately they didn't spot any animals but they still had a lot of fun playing in the snow that they found

We found out that Delilah's was very hesitant about the idea of them actually shooting an animal so in her eyes this day of driving and playing with Dad was everything she really wanted.

After being gone for the daytime part of her birthday, Delilah had birthday phone and video calls to catch up on with her grandparents and aunts and uncles.

Opening all her mail that came in

She got a long letter too which Dad had to read for her

Some presents

And cupcakes! 

As per her request, sprinkle cupcakes with more sprinkles on top! 

Will helping Delilah get her new Polly Pocket toy set up

Later in the week she had two friends over for a little party

I put together a game of 'guess what's in the box' which was a huge hit with everyone. 

I put in all sorts of household items for them all to reach in, feel, and guess. A sock, potato, and one of Clara's soothers were a few of the things that got a laugh out of the kids. 

And while the box of party decorations was out the kids played with these plastic construction hats from William's first birthday.
