Weekly Wednesday Wupdate: Everyone Wants a Picture With Clara

 Wednesday:
We call this 'Clara's best friend'.

Dig a ditch to keep the water out of the grass and contained to the edge of the yard so the grass is dry to play in. Makes sense, right? Well these boys just see it as an opportunity to play in the ditch, in the water that is so kindly not pooling in the grass. Who wants to play on dry grass when there's a full ditch to play in?

Thursday:
William and his new-to-him wheels

While worm collecting the boys found a toad! The first one of the year!

Friday:
"Can you take a picture of me and Clara?"

"Mom, take a picture of us!"

The joy that these kids find in their sister doesn't get old.
I have a photo James asked of me to take with her further down.

Saturday:

Spoiled with brunch at a friends house

Keeping with tradition, Clara got to go for a ride in Dad's hunting pack

Sunday:
On Sunday we tried to go for a walk. And were sorta successful?
It took us much longer than anticipated to get out the door and what was supposed to be an hour of free time turned into only twenty minutes. So we did a quick loop and decided we'll have to try again another day.

Monday:
These boys are the perfect duo for fly and mosquito killing services.

And while they were doing that Delilah was taking down the dry laundry.

Will was away on Monday night and I asked the kids what they wanted for dinner. Mac and cheese was requested and didn't take any convincing for me to agree that'd be the perfect meal.

James has got his upgraded bike now too (we couldn't find back the blue training wheels, but we made do with the purple ones). This is his first pedal bike and it's taking him a bit to get the hang of it. William set him up in the dirt with his back wheel off the ground so he could practice the pedalling motion without the resistance of the ground.
What a kind and innovative brother!

Tuesday:
James - Take a picture of me and Clara, Mom!
Clara - crawls as fast as she can out of frame. Silly kid

Clara discovered that there's air blowing out of the dehumidifier

The kids gathered to watch Will cut the grass in the front yard. Looks like it may not have provided full time entertainment for Delilah though, as she does have a book in hand still.
