Clara: Ten Months

Our sweet, sun-shining Baby Girl turned ten months old! 

In the past month Clara has learned how to clap and play peekaboo. Any material is suitable for peekaboo in Clara's mind, from the stereo-typical blanket, to the less seen book, to the unique choice of a toy car. If she can hold it in front of her face it is perfect for peekaboo. 

Speaking of toy cars, she has started driving cars around on the floor now and makes a growly sound while pushing them.

Clara's favourite foods are pasta, any type of meat, cheese, and yogurt. 

She will show obvious preference towards these foods and we find such entertainment in her dropping carrots on the floor, or brushing away potatoes to get to her meat. 

Clara can stand for 14 seconds, and will often do one little step. If she's pushing something she can walk behind it just fine. We're all very excited to see when she gives walking a go. 

For now she is very proficient with her crawling and is pretty speedy to get up the stairs and into Mozzy's food dish. 

Highlights of the last month:

-Got her top two teeth in tandem

-Her fifth trip to the Valley

-Splashed in the ocean for the first time

-Finally can go 4hrs between nursing feeds, but also discovered how to ask for milk and will sometimes request it sooner

- Loves her baby dolls

- We're working on learning how to get down from things and the stairs. Still a work in progress

-Took 2 steps

Clara is such a testament to God's goodness in our lives. We all love her so much and she brings oodles of joy to each and every day. She certainly has her cranky moments too, but they are easily overshadowed by our thankfulness of her presence.
