Wednesday:
Friday
And here's Anneke!
Wednesday was a beautifully sun shiny day but around 4 the wind started to pick up and by 5:15 I went outside to call the kids back in. And just as I started walking towards them we all heard a peal of thunder which was followed in a few moments by a heavy downpour. These thunderstorms are wild and we love them!
Thursday:
I am so astonished with all the wildflowers growing along the roads out in the country.
Our kitchen table has been graced with bouquets full of daisies, lupins, Indian paintbrushes, clover, buttercups, and more!
Friday
Ready to hit the road for another trip down South to see our families.
Delilah's favourite stop along the way
On Friday night I went out with my girlfriends for a walk around Mill Lake
Automatic besties
Saturday:
At Opa and Oma's house on Saturday afternoon the kids collected lots of snails which Delilah wanted to photograph.
Clara loved playing the piano with anyone who would hold her
Sunday:
We got to have lunch at another friends' house on Sunday and were back at Opa and Oma's in the evening. Clara was excited each time we were there to see the horses and cows.
Trying to figure out how to play with Arden.
Tuesday:
We had to go to Vancouver on Tuesday afternoon for Will to renew his Dutch passport. We spent 3.5x more time driving there and back then we did for the actual appointment. So that was a little tiring.
But while I was keeping the kids entertained in a coffee shop we saw this fire truck drive past which is one of the ones Will built when he worked at ITB!
50 minutes was as long as we could last sitting and looking out the window so I walked with the boys over to this fountain where we were able to kill the remaining time while waiting for Will.
Then off to grad for Peter and Anneke!
They both received scholarships (only Peter is pictured here)
James and Clara did really well during the ceremony but I took them out near the end and watched James run laps back and forth non stop for five minutes. With all the driving from the day and then sitting for the graduation he must have had so much energy ready to burst.
It was so special that we could be in town to witness an exciting milestone for both of them.
