Surviving the Heat

Me, Ethan and Peter eating lunch outside so it would be quiet in the house for Mom to take a nap.

Italian bread.

I’ve now made six loaves of bread that are eatable.

And there’s one in the bread maker now for lunch today 

 On Saturday Dad and Ethan started putting up the deck rails;

hopefully they’ll be able to finish before summers over.

Because it was hot out, Dad put up a tarp to keep them in the shade

Saturday (and Sunday too) we went to Grandma and Grandpa F's for a swim

Nadia loved the water

On Saturday cousin J was there as well.

It was really cute watching him and Nadia play together

 

Yesterday we went to Ikea to find living room furniture......

And this time we actually did!!!!
We also bought this shelf for the kitchen, to keep the Bibles and Mom's sewing machine off the ground

we got this chair

and a couch, but I didn't take a picture of it because Ethan was populating it.

Dad turned the box the couch came in into a "alien ship"

Just ignore the mess in the background

and that's were we are now

Thankfully it's not to hot out and we aren't boiling alive

 (well it wasn't that bad, but sure felt like it at some times).
