Alice Lake 2015

We were able to go to Alice Lake this year for a week of camping.
Here is our camp site. Dad had quite the set-up going with the tarps and it sure all came in handy on Friday night when it poured!

Alice Lake

It was a tad bit cold.
And don't let her face fool you, she loved being in the water!

Peter's find on the water's surface.

At Stump lake which was just a few minutes walk from our campgroup.
We came here often to go fishing :)

The River at Brackendale.
It was really smoky this day and if you looked to the moutians they were very hazy.
Brackendale is apparently the world's capital for eagles so we were excited to go there and see the eagles. But we sadly found out that the eagles are only there from November to February, so we were a little out of season.

There was ditch which emptied out into the river and I thought this was pretty cool since the river water was so cloudy and it was pooling together with the fresh water,

They walked together like this for a few minutes and it was super cute!!!

As we were walking back to the van we stopped at that spot were the fresh and river water mixed, and we saw SALMON!!! :)

This is Shannon falls (on the day that was very smoky).

This woodpecker had cut out an almost perfect rectangle of bark and it was just about to fall off so we were watching, and Madi got under the tree to catch the falling wood, but she missed and it almost hit her head. :P

We walked out on a jetty on a day that was very windy. Just as we were leaving a windsurfer arrived, so it was too bad that we missed that.

Here's the windsurfer (that little white dot).

Then we went to the CN Rail museum.

We could watch live this man doing restoration work on parts of a train.

Back at the Lake on Friday.
It was cold and windy out, but the water had warmed up over the last week and they all found it very nice in the water.

And that was our week!
