In case anyone has been wondering why they haven't received a Christmas card from our family this year, I would like to explain.
It's not because we forgot about you.
It's not because we took a picture which turned out so horrible we decided against sending it out.
It's not because of budget cuts.
And it's not because we simply forgot.
But we figured Why send out a Christmas card and then two weeks later send out a birth announcement?
So we're going to be sending a family picture sometime soon - when ever this baby decides it's a good time to come.
We all made baby guesses back in August which is a tradition of sorts in our family. Each member guesses the gender, weight, date, length, eye colour, hair colour and the time of birth. Madilyn chose the earliest date, Christmas Day, and with that day coming just tomorrow, we shall see what a new day brings.
This morning has been filled with prep work for our buffet appetizer-dinner tonight and this afternoon we are looking forward to dropping off some gifts.
Grandma give us all chocolate letters every year for Christmas, but this year she attached candy canes to them. I thought it was really cute (other family members found it cheesy) how she put a little baby candy cane inside of Mom and Dad's. :)
