FAQ- Wedding Edition

1.

Q. Why wasn't I invited to the wedding?
A. Will and I are having a very small wedding with just our close family.
It's not that we have anything against you. It's just sorta costly to get married nowadays. We found a venue that is fairly cost-effective which only seats 150 people. After immediate family and close friends, that doesn't leave us much room for many more people.
You are more than welcome to come to the wedding ceremony, or even watch the live feed of it.
As much as we'd love to invite sooo many people, more friends, more family, co-workers, classmates, our favourite IHOP server, etc... we can't.
Inviting more people means a bigger venue, more food, more favours, more decor, more drinks, more invites- it adds up.

2.

Q. Speaking of drinks, I heard you aren't you having alcohol at your wedding. Why not?
A. Personal reasons. We have a few people close to us who would appreciate it if we refrained from serving alcohol.
Maybe it's a little different from the typical wedding trends, but that's alright with us. There will still be beverages, just non-alcoholic ones.
If you need alcohol to have fun or are coming to our wedding just for free booze, please stay home. Will and I are looking for a nice evening to share our first meal together with those we love and we'd rather not have party poopers there.

3.

Q. Why are you getting married in December?
A. Originally we were gonna wait until Summer of 2018 so that I would be 20. Bit by bit, Will managed to convince me to agree to an earlier, and then earlier, and then even earlier wedding date, until we were talking about December 2017 and I told him that was the soonest I'd say yes to.

Did we think at the time it would be rainy and cold?

Didn't even think about it.

Did we know that half our bridal party would be writing exams that week (even one was scheduled for the wedding date, but she managed to get that moved) and completed overloaded by schoolwork?

Neither of us are in school, so it didn't really cross our minds -opps...

Did we have a certain reason for picking December 16th?

It was the closest Saturday to 2018 without being around New Years or Christmas.

And that's all!

2 more days to go!
