Five Months Old!

Naively I thought that maybe time would start to slow down by now.
But nope.
Not at all.
Not one bit.
How is my baby five months old already!?!?!?!

Throughout March, Delilah has discovered we have fish and cats!
She loves watching the fish swim around in their tank and watching the cats wander about.
Chloe is especially glad that Delilah is now developed enough to pet her!

New nicknames that she's picked up over the last little while include Kiddo-biddo and Delilahpea.

She is enthralled by mirrors!
100% loving her jolly jumper but will also spend time in the exersaucer.
Dee sits in her highchair and LOVES throwing toys off the tray onto the ground!
We graduated her to a 3hr feeding schedule which has been liberating for me and she is still napping three times a day.

Delilah went on her first road trip and visited a new province where she promptly picked up an Albertan cold which brought on her first fever. Gave her mom and dad quite a scare and we were just starting to discuss if we should bring her to ER (at 3am) when her temperature started going down.
Very thankful she's over that and we're hoping that her immune system will stay strong through the summer.

Like the good, upstanding citizen she is, Delilah went for her second round of shots.
I've had a few people ask if she's got the measles vaccine yet or not.
Children don't get the measles vaccine until 1 year, so please, PLEASE, leave little ones alone if you are anti-vax.
Seriously.

Mid-March she weighed 16lbs so I am assuming she's well past that number now!

She loves her solid food and so far has tried:
Oatmeal
Carrots
Yams
Peas
Rice cereal
Prunes
Bananas
Potatoes

"Oh darling don't you ever grow up, don't you ever grow up
Just stay this little
Oh darling don't you ever grow up, don't you ever grow up
It could stay this simple"
