Weekly Wednesday Update

We got the corner booth at IHOP last week which seems impractical for a party of 2 and a little one but it was actually super handy for all of our stuff (carseat, diaperbag, toys) and it gave room for Delilah to play around.

She is such a people watcher.
It's embarrassing sometimes how intensely she'll just stare at people...

Our trick for having her anywhere she needs to be slightly quieter than normal is to constantly feed her snacks.
Dinner time devotions = Snacks
Weddings = Snacks
Driving to the airport with her great-grandparents = LOTS of snacks

Delilah fits right in at Grandma's house

And playing with the trees with Dad

Back story: Delilah went to bed late on Friday and Saturday, napped for a total of 7 minutes during the day on Saturday and by noon on Sunday (with no morning nap) she was pretty baked.

She gave Grandpa some very snugly cuddles though!

And open-mouthed kisses too!

We pulled up to the Vanspronsens' house and were met by this guardian cat posted in the tree.

We came home the other night and as we were getting our things out of the car I heard a horse coming down the road.
Perfectly normal as we live in the country.
But then I noticed that this horse had no rider with it!
Silly thing got spooked by the train tracks so wandered into the bush a little ways.
Will began walking over to it and soon it's owner came down the road yelling after it.
😝
There's always some form of entertainment going on here!

Air soft shooting.
Led to a great discussion on biodegradable bullets and birds dying...

I am very grateful that we don't have any mice in our house, but something we didn't ever experience in our last place was mice in the mailbox!
Yep.
This is a regular occurrence.
Thankfully they haven't chewed through anything of value, but this morning there was poop on the mail too!
Oh the joys of country living!
