Monday:
Christmas with our Bredenhof family in the States.
We brought a trifle for dessert and I'm not sure if the border guard didn't know what trifle was or thought Will said we were bringing a rifle across the line, but I had to explain to him all the ingredients that went into it. 😛
Tuesday:
As per tradition, we opened gifts with my family.
Delilah got a vet play set which even came with a cone of shame!
Once all the gift opening was finished we ended up having a weight-lifting competition and practiced some yoga together.
Wednesday:
After a Christmas morning church service we headed over to Will's parents' for lunch and some more gifts.
Delilah got utterly spoiled this Christmas!
I love her expressions!
After lunch at the Vanspronsens' we were off to Grandma+Grandpa Faber's for Christmas dinner.
It was a much smaller turn out than most years, but Will and I both agreed it was a much more enjoyable time and having less people makes the house less crammed and loud.
Thursday:
Boxing day was our only day this week with nothing scheduled.
So naturally Will went fishing. 😛
Then after dinner we opened up our own gifts.
If you thought the four gifts we had under our coffee table last year was a small amount, you might be surprised that this year was only three!
One for Dee, one for Will, and one for me.
After two days in a row of gift opening she knows what's coming!
Will's wonderful wrapping job. 😄
Sunday:
We had no Christmas festivities planned for Friday and Saturday and then got together with the Vanspronsen clan on Sunday night for dinner and gingerbread houses.
Will and I combined our houses together and built a ski chalet.
The peaked roof turned out absolutely amazingly and I wish I had a better photo of it!
Chris' finished product. Complete with a water fall, porch, and lamps.
