Little William: 4 Months Old!

Our handsome chunk is 4 months old!

In this fourth month of exterior life Little William has been practicing his sitting -which is extremely difficult when one is so top-heavy. 😄 But he is able to sit for a little while before giving into the comfortable temptation of bending in half and sucking on his toes.
I think he'll have the hang of it by next month!

He's started using the excersaucer and is absolutely enthralled with the 360° supply of toys. It also provides a perfect perch for him to watch Delilah as she plays around and with him.

Little William also began joining us for meals from the comfort of his highchair. He is content to sit and observe everything going on. He hasn't shown any interested in food yet, though we did give him a cucumber slice to suck on one night.

Weight: 22lbs
Height: 28.5inches
Head circumferance: 44.5cms

Moral of the story:
- Very large boy!
- Mostly in size 18-24m clothing
- Pushing the limits on size 3 diapers
- For reference, Delilah at 4 months weighed 16lbs and was 26inches tall. At 7 months she was 28inches and at 14 months 22lbs.

Little William started a very un-popular habit of waking up every 2-3hrs at night. 🥱
After 2 weeks of that, and at 15wks old, we started sleep training for naps in the hopes of sorting out his sleep schedule.
Now he gets woken up at 7am. Then goes down at 10am and woken up around 11:45am. Then down again at 2pm and woken up at 4pm. Then finally he's down for the night at 7:30pm.
So far this hasn't corrected the multiple middle-of-the-night parties, but we're working on it.

He has become a finger sucker. Any finger, and any number of them. Purely for entertainment, not really for comfort.
Along with the finger sucking, Little William has started drooling a whole ton! His shirts and bibs get soaked through so quickly. It doesn't help that he's got whatever he can find in his mouth which aids in draining all the saliva.

We took Little William to a playground for his first time and he got to go swing next to Delilah. Still too small for the slide I think!

He has ditched the soother, but hasn't been fussy enough since that I've noticed it's missing. Usually a blankie will calm him down if he's whimpery.

And lastly, he's started rolling over from his back to front. Both moves (f-b and b-f) are mastered and he loves to work his way off the playmat or across the room.

We love our blue-eyed, smiley, not-so-little son!
