Camping 2020: Day 3

Although our first night with the kiddos went without a hitch, Delilah woke up very upset at 10:30pm on Tuesday night when we were pumping up our air mattress. Then she didn't fall asleep again until 3am!
And because she is such a daddy's girl Will was the only one who was allowed to hold and console her. So I got up with the kids on Wednesday morning and left Will to sleep in.

One of the things we forgot to bring along with us were bibs. 😮

We improvised with dishtowels, which led us to run out of our 1/day ration of towels. But in the end it all worked out.

In previous years Shuswap Lake has been sprayed for mosquitos, but due do a dispute with the Natives there was no spraying this year. Thankfully we had a mosquito net for the playpen which kept Little William (and sometimes Delilah too!) mostly protected.

I decided on Wednesday afternoon to stay at our campsite with the kids rather than going to the beach. It was still hot, but much cooler in the trees than at the water.

Delilah loved exploring in the forest around our campsite.
