Weekly Wednesday Wupdate: Reading Books, Toy Rotation, and The Racecar Shopping Cart

Wednesday:

We were running late on Wednesday morning and I made the executive decision to grab Timmies for breakfast on our way from dropping Will off at work and picking up groceries. Delilah was beyond thrilled to get to have a muffin for breakfast AND to eat breakfast in the truck.
Oh the little things in life!

Dear Bobo was so sad that I hustled the kids inside when we got home and that he wasn't able to play with Delilah...

So he sat outside out door very forlornly and meowed.  😄

Thursday:
When you do a puzzle with Delilah you don't just do it once or twice. No, three times is best!

This doofus was crawling around with his hat on, looking adorable.
What a happy guy
💙💙

Friday:
We did a toy rotation on Friday and Delilah just sat on the couch to read all her new books. It was so adorable to see as she usually won't sit on her own but wants to be read to.

For anyone wondering, this is our toy rotation box. It holds all the toys that aren't out on the floor.
And what's on the floor?
A shelf of books and one of stuffies.
We always have out books and stuffies of some sort. They are guaranteed to be be played with and are often some of the first toys to hit the carpet in the morning.

Then we always have one bin of assorted toys. This time around there are two wooden puzzles, some ball pit balls (with the snowball scoop to play with them but it was being used for other things when I took this picture), a few cars, and a baby toy that Little William likes to gnaw on during church services.
Lastly we have two more bins that each are filled with what I call a big toy. Sometimes it's farm animals, or Delilah's vet set. This time they have out megabloks and the play food.
And the playfood didn't make the previous picture because as soon as Delilah saw me take it out of the box she dumped it on the floor.

Delilah was so excited to hear Will drive into our complex on Friday evening and she was eagerly waiting at the door for him to come inside, but he got caught up talking with our neighbour and so she just couldn't wait any longer.
"Mommy, open door pleeeeeeease?"

That evening Karen and I also got impatient waiting for the men in our lives.
But in this case we were waiting for them to start a fire. So then we took the task upon ourselves.

And although it may have taken us a bit longer than normal, we were quite proud of ourselves in the end.

Saturday:
On Saturday evening we went to Canadian Tire were I very excitedly got the racecar shopping cart for the kids to ride in.
Safe to say that they loved it.

Tuesday:
And I caught Delilah reading books again!
So cute!

This kid.
Up on his tippytoes trying, yelling into the washing machine.
Never a dull moment over here.  😆😆

Delilah's explaination here was that she needed to be this far inside the fridge so that she could properly dry the glass shelf that is above her. But as you can clearly see from this picture there is 0% drying going on and 100% amusement.
