Little William: 11 Months Old!

11 months old! How crazy is that!?!
I can't believe how close we are to celebrating Little William's first birthday! 😭 For now I will hold onto what baby-esque qualities he has.

Remember when I used to take monthly photos with him lying so nicely next to the letter board?
Those days are well in the past! 😆

Our smiley, doey eyed boy has mastered the art of walking.
And not only that...

but he's got a little run that he does too!
It's so adorable watching him keep up with his big sister.

Will and I love observing, often spying on even, Delilah and Little William play together. Although he can't talk much or understand the words Dee is speaking to him, there's something about children just being able to make sense of each other. They work together, help each other, and show so much affection towards one another.
Ugh it's just the cutest thing.
And of course Delilah is the one making faces behind the scenes here, making Little William laugh.

Some highlights from Little William's eleventh month of learning:

-Will actually sit to read a book

-Says 'Ni Ni' for 'night night'

-Waves bye-bye and gives kisses.

-Been practicing being gentle with Delilah's dolls so that he can be a good nephew to Grandma's baby who we're expecting to meet any day now.

Shelby may or may not be his best friend. If you mention her name his eyes light up and a huge beam comes across his whole face.

When it comes to being a little trouble maker, in the past month Little William:

Has climbed onto a kitchen chair - I was washing dishes with Delilah on a chair next to me, and all of a sudden Little William was standing there with her!

Likes to open the oven - I cannot count the number of times he's pulled the oven door open! Our oven has a lock, but it doesn't work when the oven is on, so if I'm cooking or baking then it is unlocked, and of course that's the most unsafe time for him to open it.

He's also discovered the oven drawer - Full of all the baking tins, which he's learned are perfect for hitting on the tile floor and making loud noises with! 😄 Not my favourite, but it is funny to see how much he loves loud noise and the lengths he'll go to produce it!

Climbs onto anything he can - Thankfully not the couch quite yet. But he is especially smart at using one thing to climb to the next. A basket to get onto the coffee table. A bed to get onto a dresser.

Thinks standing up in the bathtub is one of the 7 most wonderful things in the world - This week he even got taken out by yours truly without getting washed or anything because he just would not sit.

T-R-O-U-B-L-E-!!!!

But for all the grief he brings, he sure is cute.
So I can't complain. Only marvel at what such a young boy can do!

I adore how fascinated and concentrated he was here trying to pick the letters all off.

I don't think I mentioned when his latest two teeth came in, but I'm not sure if that was in this last month, or the previous month. Regardless he currently has four top teeth and two bottom ones.

At the start of January Little William weighed in at 35lbs but with all the walking he's been up to in the last two months he has dropped a few and is down to 31 pounds.
Even after loosing weight Little William is still considered big for his age.

His height measurements continue to be off the charts as well, coming in at 31.5inches tall. But he falls into a more 'normal' range for his head circumference of 48cms being only in the 96th percentile.

We're thankful for his continued good health and abundantly grateful for the joy he brings to our lives.
