Hanging Out With Auntie Madilyn

Last week we got to have Madilyn over for a sleepover!

We went for a walk to visit the horses.
Delilah is always content to simply say hi to them, but Madilyn was ready to jump right over the fence! She was giving those horses all the pets they wanted.

The kiddos were so excited to have someone to play with them and especially to read them All. The. Stories!

The next morning we went to Sendal Gardens before running the rest of our errands in town.

Found this cute little lady bug family under a park bench

And of course the morning we went it was about 4℃ - so cold!
But we still have a fun time exploring and enjoyed our walk through the gardens

The girls found a puddle full of slimey algae and they were excited to scoop bits up with sticks and swing them around.
Delilah's holding a stick here too but it's moving so fast it's a little difficult to see. 😆

Little William wasn't all quite sure what was going on 😄

Delilah wanted to walk along this wall just like she had seen Auntie Madilyn do. She got a bit scared by how high up she was, but with Auntie Madi to hold her hand she was very brave.

On our way home from errands we picked up sushi for lunch.
Delilah was about halfway through her miso soup when she excitedly discovered, "Hey! There cheese in my soup!"
She had forgotten there's tofu in miso soup and it was a happy surprise for her.

In our morning's travels we had picked up a bubble machine. A worthy investment in my opinion. Parent-free bubble blowing!

The girls played outside and popped as many bubbles as they could.

And the ones they couldn't get to on time freely floated off towards the mountains.
