WWW: June 30th - July 6

Hi! It's me again, blogging behind schedule again.
Between Bible studies, church committees, family time, and work we've just been all sorts of crazy go-go-go.

We love having a well-rounded calendar but the past two weeks have been a bit too much.
Hopefully this week will be a little more manageable and I'll be able to play catch-up here on the blog front.

Thursday:
Thursday was Canada Day and our church handed out coffee and snacks and gave free carwashes.

There were a few lawn games set up and it was the first time we were legally allowed to gather together as BC's covid restrictions were lessened that day.
It was wonderful to see church members after a long time away and to meet some neighbours living in the area.

We went to Will's parents' in the afternoon to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary.
Mom unboxing her wedding dress for the first time in 30 years!

Delilah drew a picture for them and here she's explaining what's all in the picture.

Friday:

A yummy lunch with some of the leftovers from the previous day's bbq

Saturday:
On Saturday we went to my grandparents' house to celebrate my cousins' birthdays.

Delilah's cupcake matched her swim suit!

Monday:
Reading on the couch together as the morning sun shines through the front door.

"Look, Mom! I have a baby in my tummy!"

Two kids in a box.
Two kids in a box outside.
Two kids in a box outside without pants on.

Tuesday:
Blonde bookworms

Can you guess what this is? 😆

Enjoying at snack together

While making dinner, Delilah came inside to tell me and Will that there was something outside to see. She was excited, but a little apprehensive too.
"Gotta see something!"
"What is it?"
"Um, um, it's not a bird...?"
A butterfly!

We've seen butterflies before, but never this close and so she was surprised to see it was so big!
This guy was not afraid of us and we were able to watch him drink pollen from several flowers before he flew off and away.

Our church is back to worshipping unrestricted which we are SO grateful for! I was at the church on Tuesday evening to do some cleaning and the building as the messiest it has been in a year and a half! Something to be so thankful for because we know the reason for the mess - having people worshiping in the church building!
