Weekly Wednesday Wupdate: Begins and Ends With Reading Books

Wednesday:
Will left his his hiking backpack resting in the living room on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning the kids were so excited and took turns sitting in the hip buckle.
It's the little things in life 😄

On Wednesday evening I left Will with the kiddos and went to help set up for Colin and Veronica's wedding.

It took us a bit to find a rhythm but once we got going things started coming together. It was encouraging and motivating to have seen this shop transform from a construction zone to a reception hall.

Thursday:
Delilah got another haircut!
Her sides grow much quicker than the back middle, and Grandma discovered that one side is thicker than the other as well.

Playing peekaboo in the car while waiting for Daddy to finish some errands

Friday:
We woke up on Friday morning to ash coating everything outdoors and it whirling and twirling through the air. It smelt like smoke and was hard to breathe. I know we are far better off than other cities affected by the forest fires, but this is just our experience in the Valley.

"Take a cheese of us, Mom!"

Friday afternoon Delilah asked me to take a picture of the sky.
"The clouds are all bubbly, Mom. Can you take a picture?"

Sunday:
Look who is loving the jolly jumper!

I love these burly baby shots as it shows just how much movement he's making in this thing. 😁

William's new trick is climbing up the playset all by himself. 😮
Again, one of those things were I'm glad he is progressing and getting more and more independent but also for his safety I would prefer if he didn't...

The guys were all playing around with Shelby and seeing how high her vertical is.

They had her getting quite high but by the time I took pictures she was getting tired out.

Sunday evening Delilah asked to go to bed all by herself.
"You stay here" she said to us. And off to the bedroom she went.
We could hear her chitter chattering a bit, and then she sang "Holy Holy Holy" and we waited to hear her pray, but she passed right out.
Sweet little girly.

Monday:
Stopping during our walk to smell the flowers.
Delilah was extra excited about these ones since they were green, and green is her favourite colour.

I love William's scrunchy sniffing face 😍
And I see now Delilah's pants were on backwards...

Enjoying home grown corn on the cob for dinner.

Tuesday:
No matter where we are, William still manages to find a stack of books to look through.
