William: 18 Months Old!

Our sweet and mischievous William turned eighteen months old last week.
A whopping' year and a half old now!

Instead of trying to bribe him to sit still for a photoshoot, I decided to include several photos from the last six months in this post instead.

It's been so much fun to watch him grow up and develop the character that he is today.

William brings a lot of busyness to our household. He's often playing around and causing trouble just about anywhere he goes.

He is a climber and I often have to pull him off the counters, kitchen table, or the living room windowsill. What a guy!
So far he has only once flipped himself out of his crib and we are hopeful that it won't be happening again for a while. Clamoring into the crib I have no problem with, but once he's able to get out of there on his own we'll have entered a whole new playing field.

That all being said, he can also sit and look at books for a while and will snuggle up to be read to.

At 18 months old William is sporting size 3T clothing and size 7T shoes. The pant legs are a little long on him and he looses his hands in his winter jacket, but it works. 😃

At 14 months old we sleep trained William and he has been sleeping through the nights ever since. And at 16 months I fully weened him.

He is not a picky eater but these are a few of his favourites:
Any fruit, but especially berries and bananas
Cheese
Beans (not green beans though)
Peppers

His favourite animals are horses and bunnies.
His favourites songs are Baa Baa Black Sheep and Holy, Holy Holy (except he calls it Hola Hola Hola)

When out on walks or running errands I often get asked if Delilah and William are twins. She's a little taller than him yet, but I guess it's the blonde hair and the similar features that they both have?

He has entered the 'helper' phase where he tries so hard to help with most things I am doing. Folding laundry, unloading the dishwasher, maintaining peace in the house, and so many other things that are just adorable to watch him get involved in.
Last week I was washing berries in the kitchen sink and I tossed one onto the floor for Shiloh to bat around. William didn't know I intentionally give it to her, but saw that she had a berry so he came over and swatted it out of her paws and handed it back to me.

He weighs 34 pounds and is 34 inches tall. Still way off the charts with his measurements!
There are sometimes I look at him and think, "Wow, he is just huuuge!" and there are other times when he still looks so little. 💙

Apart from William, we don't call him much else except the occasional Will-ham when he's being silly or trouble.

All in all he's a super fun and happy guy.
He is such a blessing to our lives.
Here's to the next months to come!
