A Lot Can Happen In 13 Minutes

 I was dusting the house on Wednesday afternoon and decided to change the battery on our wall clock since we've been noticing that it has been running slower and slower. 
And then this happened: 


I cleaned and swept up the broken glass. Then gathered the debris of leaf and clock. I had a few minutes before I needed to start cooking dinner so I decided to glue the prongs (?) of the leaf back on since they were pretty clean breaks and looked like they would go back together quicker than the clock pieces. 

Thirteen minutes after the above photo was taken, I took the one below: 







Moral of the story? 
Don't superglue anything in a rush 
And ALWAYS check if the glue is running down the side facing away from you.
