Christmas Day

We woke up on Saturday morning to fresh powdery snow everywhere. It's much different from the wet snow that we are used to. Although we got a decent about of snow fall the trees barely had any snow on them and our parking lot had several empty patches because the snow just blew right off.
 Beautiful nonetheless!

Will needed to be at the church at 8am to set up the audio system for the Christmas program and our original plan was to drop him off, then go back home to eat breakfast and get ready for church before going back to church at 9:30. But with all the snow that fell overnight we decided to minimize our time on the roads and all head to the church at 8 and the kids and I ate breakfast there.

After church and lunch Will and Delilah broke out a few of the Christmas gifts we had received the day before.
Firstly they watered some orbeez...

...and then did some baking while waiting for the orbeez to grow.

We got this panookie kit from Emily which was delightfully delicious!

We ended up back at the church to do some cleaning before Sunday's worship services. While cleaning the windows I noticed these little snowdrifts outside which reminded me of the sand dunes in Oregon.

We had a cozy Christmas dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Faber's that evening.

The kids enjoyed looking at all the snowy Christmas lights as we walked back to our truck.

That evening Will went to the church (his third time in one day. Yes, it's practically our second home 😛) to prepare the audio/tech things for Sunday's services but he was home by 10 so we took some time to delve into the treats we received in some gift baskets while we watched TV together.
