James: Three Months Old

Our sweet James Christopher has turned three months old! 

In the past month he has really shed his newborn-ness and is more and more becoming his own character. 

James loves watching his siblings play and out of our family Delilah makes him laugh and smile the most with her antics. He is also very ticklish and has a cute little giggle that he's quick to produce. 

He also enjoys sucking on his hands and will usually stick them in his mouth while he's in the bouncy seat. 

James is sporting well the double chin and his thighs are getting chunkier. His eyes are a deep blue, almost grey sometimes. Similar to Delilah's at this age so I'm curious to see how they end up. 

His gummy smile is huge and his singular, high cheek dimple melts my heart. 

James has moved onto size 6 and 9 month clothing and size 3 diapers. 

He currently weighs 19 pounds and is 25 inches tall. 

A few nights James has slept Straight. Through. The. Night! It has been very intermittent, but also encouraging to know that it is possible for him. 

James had a few off days in this past month, but we've discovered that he really likes being bundled up in the baby wrap so on those days we can usually get by together that way. And if baby wearing is not an option for whatever reason, we have also learned that he prefers being held in an upright position, facing out. 

James no longer screams during baths (I am so glad we've moved past that phase) and he's even had a bath in the big tub with Delilah and William. 

We've let him gnawed on cantaloupe, cucumbers, and carrots. Cantaloupe makes him smile, carrots make him mad, and he's indifferent about cucumbers.
