WWW: Sill Behind But Less Overwhelmed

Wednesday:
The wind was blowing through the llama's hair on Wednesday morning and she looked so adorable in her own funny way so I just had to snap a picture.

Our first blackberry picking of the season!

Not too bad for round one! And these are only the ones that made it into the freezer; there were probably about another plateful that quickly found their way into two kiddos' tummies.

James loves joining us at the table in his highchair now

Thursday:
He's jumped right on into solid foods. An exciting new world for him!

Friday:
Auntie Nadia came over on Friday to hang out with the kids while I cleaned our old suite. They made anklets together. She's always got such neat ideas for keeping the kids busy!

William sure is looking tired in this photo!

We did some rock painting that afternoon

Saturday:
We picked up this play structure from my cousin a few weeks ago and saved it in storage as a surprise for the kids until we had moved.
They've been having so much fun with it and Will even rigged up the hose so it would spray onto the slide for the kids.

Bathing with your two older siblings can often end in some funny results!

Sunday:
Such a sweetie 💙
(Sporting an outfit from when Will was a baby!)

Sunday story time.

Sitting with the cool kids for supper.

James also caught hold of Shelby's tail while we were visiting on the patio that evening. He grabbed two chubby fistfuls and gave a solid yank. At first she whipped around, but then saw it was James, and immediately put her head back down on her paws. She won't take that from your average person but is incredibly good with little kids.

Monday:
On Monday morning Delilah got a cut on her finger while we were picking blackberries. She was adamant that she wanted a band aid on the slice. I suggested we leave it for now as we were next heading to the garden and the band aid would probably get all filled with dirt. Insistent, she told me that she would keep it clean and wouldn't play in the dirt. Once we got to the garden she headed straight for their little dirt patch but said she had an idea! She would keep her hand up like this so no dirt would get in the band aid. Sound like a great plan! I said and headed off to do some weeding. Soon she came up to me and explained that the band aid was now missing somewhere in the dirt... Just couldn't resist it, hey?

Our corn is well over eight feet tall!
Well, except for the back row as they've been shaded out by the others!

And I spotted our first cantaloupe!

We've been enjoying lots of these darling little cherry tomatoes. They are so fun to add to dinner or have as a little snack.

We made mudpies together for a snack on Monday afternoon and the kids each got a little bowl with the mixture so they didn't have to fight over who got to lick the big mixing bowl. This way I got to lick the bowl! Win-win-win!

Tuesday:
On Tuesday I took Delilah on a little date to buy her (and the boys, but we emphasized her) some new clothes and shoes. We went out for lunch together and had a real great time as just the girls.

We stopped by a playground before picking Will up from work in the afternoon.
The kids loved this baby-and-me swing.

And this zipline swing was a lot of fun too! A little scary for them yet, but with Mom standing close by, lots of fun.

I'm not totally sure how this happened...Those are dandelion seeds all on his tongue. 😆

Meat from Will's hunt and veggies from our garden. How neat is that?!

All tuckered out!
