Weekly Wednesday Wupdate: Corn, Museum, and A Picnic

Wednesday:
James is getting more and more mobile!

I'm not sure what William's pouting lip is for in this photo but they were having the sweetest time together on the couch reading.

Mozzy 😻

I taught the kids how to shuck corn on Wednesday afternoon. It kept them busy for quite a while!

It was so fun to see how each cob is so different. We had a few like the one on the right here, with almost perfect kernels in straight little rows. And we had several like the one on the left with kernels popping out every-which way.

We found a lady bug in the corn and Delilah was overjoyed! She told me she didn't need to have snail pets anymore and was excitedly making plans to take this ladybug camping with us next summer

Well, that was short lived. She had asked me about setting up a litter box for her lady bug and once she found out that they don't use a little box and freely eliminate she had had enough. Out with the lady bug!

Thursday:
Nap wake up crew

Our favourite stop on our way to walk anywhere

Ever since she was little with hardly any hair, Delilah has had one side of her head grow hair quicker and thicker than the other. While she was walking ahead of me it was really noticeable again.

Elevators are always an exciting ride. Except William doesn't care for how loud they are; he has sensitive ears.

This photo is a bit dark, but can you make out James' face? Pure joy!

Pushing both these kids on the big swings now!

Friday:
I love how Mozzy likes to snuggle in while I'm nursing James.

On Friday we went with a daycare friend, my mom, Madilyn, and Jonah to Surrey Museum. While the museum part is interesting, the kids had the most fun in the play area there.

You could put scarves in these vacuum tubes and redirect their paths and have them shoot out.

Two big smiles

Peering into a cabin

I thought it was super cute how Delilah and M were lying in the same position on the floor.

Little cuddle buddy

Saturday:
Will had been gone for eight days on a hunting trip and we were all very grateful to have him back home!

Our sunflower has bloomed!

Sky-high corn

Bean inspector

Sunday:
I was reading the kids some books on Sunday and they were both so tired!

Playing dress up with Uncle Pete

Just a touch too big, hey?

Monday:
William was rather impressed with himself for buckling Copper into James' carseat

You might be a hunter's wife if you find bullets that have gone through the wash... 😆

Tuesday:
He wouldn't let me get nice before and after photos from the front, but I cut William's hair for the second time. Feeling a bit more confident this session.

On Tuesday we all drove out together to Chilliwack to buy some new rims for our truck. Rush hour traffic was average, but an accident made the trek take 1.5hrs. Gratefully all three kids slept for the majority of the ride!

We had decided to make a whole family trip out of it and packed a picnic that we enjoyed together at Sardis Park

All the ducks and geese provided us with tons of entertainment

We enjoyed dinner together, playing on the playground, and then a walk around the pond together. And the drive home was traffic and accident free so we were back at home in 45 minutes.
