James: Eight Months Old

Our sweet Jamsey boy has turned eight months old!

James has grown by leaps and bounds in the past month!
He is walking along furniture all over the place. He'll also very confidently stand one-handed and move from one piece of furniture to the next.
On his last day of being seven months old I even spotted him standing all on his own for roughly 6-8 seconds! And then the next day Will watched him stand for ''much longer than 8 seconds.'' I couldn't look...

Standing up in the bath is now considered thrilling and hilarious. And adds a whole new level of required supervision for his bath attendee.

Knocking over block towers is also a favourite activity of James'. He gets so excited about them that he doesn't even let you finish building a tower before he's swinging an arm at it.

He learned how to wave and also how to pull things out of the cupboards.

James has slowed down on the pound packing (being so active has a lot to do with that I'm sure!) and weighs in at 26 pounds. Still off the charts for his age though.

He eats just about anything and doesn't seem to have any dislikes yet.

Last I wrote an update for James I commented on how rough of a go teething had been for him. Well, it only got worse from there. He gave us (especially me) a real hard time as he cut out two more teeth. I can just imagine the pain and discomfort he must have been experiencing to have been that miserable! Poor guy... Thankfully, once the teeth came in things calmed down again and he's been mostly happy since. Four teeth down, only sixteen to go!
