Our First Day Of Christmas

There was freezing rain just about all day on December 23 and our plans for the evening got postponed. So we decided to open gifts with our own little family a few days earlier than we originally were expecting. We cooked up some bear for dinner and after eating put on our pajamas. We were going to open presents then but were informed by Delilah and William that they needed to do their Christmas dance first. It was a lot of running and spinning, but so fun to see their creativity. They said later that it's something they have to do every year but I might need to remind them in case they forget because our next Christmas is in such a long time that it's easy for them to forget by then because it's hard to remember things for that long of a time. 😆

Then, with the kids permission of course, we were back to our original program.
Seeing as it was James' first Christmas we let him open the first gift.

...And it went right into his mouth...
As should be expected, I guess, hey?

So he had some help from Dad and Delilah...

And got his gift fully unwrapped....

...And put it right back into his mouth! 😆

Puzzles! Their favourite pass-time

Will showed them a picture on the instruction booklet...

And it all made sense from there

Afterwards I put James to bed while Will and the kids made the new puzzles.
And after they were in bed Will and I opened up some goodies from a gift basket.

Despite the change of plans it worked out to be a very special evening with our little family.
