Weekly Wednesday Wupdate: With Christmas In The Middle Of It

Wednesday:
We had a huge dump of snow last week and on Wednesday the kids bundled up to tromp around

William came inside first and cozied up on the couch with some hotchocolate

Delilah lasted a few more minutes before she said it felt like her chin was going to fall off.

Friday:

On Friday morning we wrapped most of our Christmas gifts.
We had to pause a few minutes in to put James down for a nap because he was very persistent to get in on the action. But once he was sleeping Delilah, William, and I had a fun time wrapping presents for everyone.

On Friday it rained almost all day. Earlier in the week we had been experiencing temperatures in the negative teens along with the big dump of snow, so to have rain all of a sudden left a layer of ice (we had it 1.5inches in some areas!) over everything
Poor Mozzy was still asking to go outside and is light enough to stand on the ice crust, so naturally he got tossed out.

Saturday:
Opening the last advent calendar book, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.'

While doing janitorial at the church I spied Nadia and James playing the piano together. See him up on his tiptoes? So cute!

Sunday:
On Christmas Day we left the house early to attend a Christmas breakfast at our church.
James lounged back from his highchair at the edge of the room and calmly took everything in.

Delilah insisted on wearing her pjs. Makes sense I guess, as we were eating breakfast.

That night we went to Grandpa and Grandma Faber's house. These jenga pieces made for great entertainment for not only jenga games but also architectural builds.

Monday:
James was up bright and early on Monday morning, not my personal favourite, but he enjoyed some quiet time playing with his new toy (Thanks, Ben!) before the big kids woke up.

We found ourselves out in Delta that morning to look at a vehicle (trying to replace the Yukon since the five of us max out our 4Runner and we often need to transport extra people around) and I excitedly suggested to take the kids to Krispy Kreme.

Unfortunately they had just finished a round of doughnuts, but the kids were still very intrigued to have Will explain the whole process to them.

William was very concerned that this lady in the back was decorating doughnuts all on her own. "She needs her team!"

And aren't those hats just adorable?

Tuesday:
All the kitchen cupboards are childlocked, and James knows this bathroom cupboard door is still open.

And he also knows he's not supposed to be going in the cupboard either so when he gets caught he always laughs it off in hopes that his cute little smile will convince me it's okay.

What a stinker. 😛
