Monday was BC Day for us and a holiday so in the afternoon we tagged along with my parents and siblings on a walk around Brydon Lagoon.

On our way there we spotted a crayfish in this stream, and on the way back there was a blue heron in the shade under a tree.
Afterwards we stopped for icecream which melted quickly in the heat so we had to keep a close eye on James, especially for the two times he put his cone down on the ground.
Hurry before it melts!
