Alouette Lake: More Time At The Lake

We were so very grateful that we were able to use Will's parents trailer for our camping trip this year.
Here was how we had the three kiddos sleeping on the dinette and couch. James in his playpen on the lowered tabled and Delilah and William sleeping head-to-toe on the couch. This set up worked out really well for us and we even had room beside the playpen for their bucket of clothes. We were also able to easily rig up a blackout curtain next to the playpen to give James a bit of a darker space for when he was going to sleep.

Maxin and relaxin

A few of us went out on a walk that the older boys told us was "stroller friendly for the first twenty feet". Well, they weren't wrong. The first bit was fine but after that there were many roots to bump over and fallen trees to lift the stroller over. It was a short trail so we wrestled through it anyway and got real sweaty from the workout.

James continues to work on his fear of the water. It took a lot of coaxing for me to get him comfortable sitting on this chair, and then I got a life jacket on him and we went out for a float deeper out on the lake.

This large boulder was a great spot for getting a better view of the lake

William told us he was being a puppy while clambering around on the rocks

Heading back to the boat launch after an afternoon at the water

James enjoyed the motorboat, but was a bit cautious about it. I thought it was so cute to have his hesitant hand on my leg during the journey.

S'mores for dessert.
Delilah kept calling them 'snores' which was hilarious for us all

The kids took it upon themselves to work away at taking the bark off this fallen tree.
