Lac La Hache to Home

On our journey home we stopped at Lac La Hache for a bathroom break and to stretch our legs
James was very excited to spot the lake

And then we noticed a playground down a hill and between some trees. What a perfect discovery for a bunch of kids who needed to burn some energy!

We get such entertainment from James and his pointing

See that sunbeam pouring in?

The biggest monkey.
And he wonders where the kids get their sillies from 😆

This slide was so steep it took your breath away.

Refuelling before hoping back in the truck

James is quick to say "cheese" anytime there's a camera out

This group brings me so much joy 💛

We stopped in Cache Creek for dinner and some running around before buckling in for the last stretch of our journey home.

Goats!

Two days before we left Hw1 was reopened after being closed due to forest fires. We were so glad that we were able to take this route and not have to drive any longer with our eager kiddos on board.
On the drive to PG we thought we spotted some orange flames glowing up a mountain, but weren't sure. On the way home we only found one area near Boston Bar where some trees were smouldering.

Praising God for safe travels, good friends, the time we could spend together as a family, and that we were not affected by the forest fires.
