PG: Saying Goodbye to Mr. PG

We were determined to stop by the iconic Mr. PG to take some pictures and so William could "touch his leg" but with us being so busy visiting it got pushed to the very last day.

All packed up and ready to head out!

This big cushion in our hotel lobby was always a hit with the kids, so they got one last roll around on it before we left

After driving past it so many times Delilah said it was "very interesting" to see in person, when asked why it was interesting she replied, "I don't really know, just thought it was a good word?"
William was thrilled to get to touch the legs, but was a little bummed he wasn't allowed to climb up the statue. He suggested we bring a ladder next time so we could get higher up to his head.

So long, Prince George!

Such beautiful landscape!

After we learned that our fourth baby died a dear friend gave me this book written by another momma who had a missed-miscarriage. I haven't been using it as a daily devotional, just a regular pick-up-and-go book and it made for a wonderful pastime on our drive. So far it's been a very encouraging read, full of reminders of God's compassion. I've got lots of sections highlighted and would recommend it to anyone grieving the death of an unborn child.

On a lighter note, we also packed these pop-its that Auntie Madi lent the kids. James played with this one for well over twenty minutes, popping them all down, flipping it over, and then pushing the bubbles down again, and again, and again.
