An Afternoon in Fort Langley

This afternoon we got to head out to Fort Langley to enjoy a walk and some family time together

James has developed a great appreciation for his pant pockets and can often be found with his hands in his pockets. When we first got to the playground he just hung out for a bit on this little hill observing the scene with his hands in his pockets.

Just as we arrived at the train station a train was coming through which was super exciting for the kids, but then they realised it was louder than they were imagining.

We packed our own hot chocolate, whipped cream, and marshmallows to put together a warm drink

Stairs are never an obstacle for the stroller when Will is the pilot.

As we took the kids over the train bridge Will and I commented how we used to come to Fort Langley often when we were dating and first married and it's so special to be able bring our three kiddos here today

There were three trains that came through in the hour before we got to the bridge so we weren't counting on any driving underneath us, but we did wait a minute and listen carefully just in case.

And before heading back to the van we stopped at the river. William had it in his head that he'd go swimming and seeing that no one else was in the water helped him to leave at peace that swimming wasn't the best idea for this cool February day.
