WWW: Puddles and a Puzzle

With all the excitement of James' birthday last week I completely missed sharing these Tuesday photos in last week's weekly update. So here they are now.

Tuesday:
We went on a walk on Tuesday morning and got to explore this new pathway in our neighbourhood.

Such a glorious day. It is so lovely to be able to stand in the sunshine and feel its warmth. It was only 5° but the sun was warm.

The nurseries at church got their annual wax which meant we had to empty the rooms of all their furniture on Monday night and then replace it all on Tuesday. We told Delilah and William that we had to all work together to get this done quickly and they did not disappoint! Will and I were both very impressed with how well they helped out and how quickly we got the job done both days with the four of us working.

Thursday:

Less warm this day, but still sunny!

Friday:
And then Friday was mostly rain...

Did you know that Will's learning piano?
Off and on while we were dating he'd plunk around but now he has jumped right in and is surprising me with how quickly he can pick something up.

Saturday:

Starting a 300 piece puzzle with the kids.
We finished it but I didn't think to take a picture...

We had a big windstorm Friday-Sunday and our power went out for about 2 hours on Saturday afternoon. Will pulled out his hunting burning to make himself a coffee

Sunday:
Got some more Arden snuggles in on Sunday 🩷

Monday:
A family in our church had a baby last week and they requested baking in lieu of meals so the kids and I baked muffins, cookies, granola bars, and here we're making a loaf as well to bring over to them.

As a side note, our church is in the midst of a baby boom. We've had seven babies born in the last six weeks and two more expected in the next two weeks. Then there's a little break until the summer.

Tuesday:

We had a colouring mixing activity with our school on Thursday which I chose to save for when James was napping.
We started out with primary colours and then made the secondary colours and I let them go from there.

45 minutes later they had less vibrant colours but were still having fun

The recent time change is not my favourite, but having sunshine at dinner time might be worth the sleepy sacrifice.
