Driving Home

Driving home from Prince George we stopped at McLeese Lake which was supposed to be for a picnic lunch and a bit of a run around for the kids. But it started snowing!

So we quickly ate a snack, went to the bathroom, got our lunch food from the cooler in the back and then packed up to keep driving away from the snow as much as possible.

These iron ore hills just North of Cache Creek were looking extra beautiful under the gloomy skies.

All these plateaus along the river looked so serene

And then the kids took some pictures

We caught up with this train and drove along it for a while as we slowly gained on it

Driving through the Fraser Canyon in the late afternoon as the sun is setting has to be the most beautiful thing with the sun on the mountains and hills all around.
This photo doesn't even capture how gorgeous the mountain in front of us was.

Passing that train

Will told me to stop taking so many pictures of the train and take pictures of him instead, so here you go. 😆😆

The pictures just don't do justice to how beautiful the sun is on these mountains

This picture, ALMOST captures the warm beauty of those sun beams pouring through the clouds as we got back into the Fraser Valley.

What a beautiful drive home!
