Wednesday:
Thursday:
We've been playing lots with different coloured water out on the patio. It's such a fun pass time for the kids and is really simple with just a few buckets of the coloured water and then some smaller vessels for them to scoop, pour, and mix to their hearts content.
So crazy to be able to enjoy the last hours of daylight after we've already finished dinner. Seems like not too long ago we'd be eating dinner in the dark. I need to remember not to take these longer days for granted.
Friday:
It's snail season again and Delilah could not be happier!
The other evening she was outside and came running to the door, "Momm do you see the most adorable thing ever?!?!"
"Yes, what is it?" I'm imagining a fawn out in the field, or a cat pouncing through the buttercups.
"TWO snails crawling around!!! Come see!!!"
We had no daycare on Friday and invited Grandma and Jonah to spend the morning with us at William's Park
The kids had asked about packing their swim suits but I was adamant against it. Should have listened to my children and brought them as they all were soaking wet and sandy by the end of their adventures in the creek.
Our little heat wave allowed for another dinner on the patio which is everyone's favourite
We were blessed to receive this part of a Cobs day-old bread donation. This is only a 1/3, maybe 1/2 of what was donated to us and was so much bread! I texted my neighbours this photo and told them to come shopping. By the time they had picked through it all the remainders juuust barely fit in our freezers and I had to leave a few buns and a loaf of bread on the counter for us to eat the next day.
We won't have to make or buy buns and bread for a few weeks with this haul!
Saturday:
Again at Spring Soccer with Delilah on the centre left.
It's pretty chaotic watching 5, 6, and 7 year olds try to play a soccer game when most of them have no idea what's going on, but they're beginning to get the hang of it.
Sunday:
Working on my cold brew coffee skills. I only drink coffee as a last resort for the caffeine to get me through the day but Will enjoys it and says this one tasted good!
Tuesday:
James is still slowly learning how to use his run bike, but he loves to try to keep up with the big kids. They make a pretty cute crew if you ask me!
