Clara: Two Months Old!

Clara is by far our most smiley baby. We all love getting smiles from her, whether they come freely or if we have to work for them.

We still don't have a nap schedule, but she has been going to bed mostly around 8:30pm and sleeps until around 8:30/9am with several feeds throughout. She has done several 6 hour stretches of sleep at night which I'm pretty thrilled about. I said to Will just last week that I feel like myself again. Getting more sleep certainly is a contributing factor to that.

Clara and I were discharged from the midwives at 6 weeks with Clara weighing 12lbs. At two months she is now up to 15 pounds already! That's a pound a week - way to go, Girl!

She has outgrown all her 3 month clothes and half of the 3-6 month sizes. I just pulled out all the 6m and 6-9/12 clothes to restock her drawers with.

Started bringing things to her mouth to gnaw on. Hands, toys, blankets -whatever is in reach.

She started spitting up this past month. Nothing really exciting, but I thought to note it because for the first month and a bit she hardly ever (never I think?) spat up, so this has been a bit of a change for us.

Finally a baby that has some of my genes pulling through - we see a lot of Madilyn in Clara and every now and again some Peter also. I really don't mind the Vanspronsen genes, but it's fun to have some of my own show too.

In her bedtime prayers Delilah thanks God just about every day for Clara. For how cute she is, that she is a sister for Delilah to hold, and for the blessing she is.

There's rarely a dull moment for Clara in our house. If she's not sleeping in her bassinet chances are a sibling is wanting to hold her or trying to play with her. And she doesn't seem to mind.
