Two or three weeks ago the kids and I did our annual paper snowflake craft.
We colour all sorts of patterns (the boys even requested I write 'police' and 'firetruck' on theirs) on coffee filters to start
Then we drop water on the filters which makes the marker run
It is very fun watching the ink streak and spread all over
I really love how this one of Delilah's turned out
Once they're all wet we leave them out to dry. Depending on how much water was put on determines how quickly they dry...
This one from William was looking pretty neat and almost outer-spacey
Then once they are dry we fold and cut them into snowflakes. The discard pile was looking so cheery and colourful! Delilah and William threw it around as confetti :)
And here's our finished products!
These are Williams
Mine and James'
Top is mine, bottom is the outside of William's little one, and the little one here is James'
And the rest of James'... and Delilah's
And Delilah's other one.
This craft is always so much fun each year and I had completely forgotten about doing it this year, after all we do have real snow on the ground already, but the kids reminded me and I'm so glad we did it!
