Wednesday:
We had a light dusting of snow fall on Wednesday morning which left a print of James' bike on the ground which he thought was so funny!
Thursday:
A photo requested by James
We went for a wonderful walk along the Fraser on Thursday afternoon. The sun was so warm shining on our faces and there was a slight cool breeze. Although James and I were wearing jackets we were the only ones. The locals were out in regular clothes and we even saw some people wearing shorts!
The river is beginning to melt and the kids find it fascinating to note the progress each time we drive over it.
Winter in PG has been so beautiful. I'm so grateful for the blue skies and the bright snow. Even as it is melting there is still so much beauty in our surroundings.
Over a creek that feeds into the river.
With Will, Delilah, and William away I made all sorts of food that I typically refrain from for the sake of their preferences. On Thursday night I made a delicious pot of potato soup. It was so yummy and I even got to have another serving for lunch the next day.
Friday:
More snow falling and with the warmer temperatures Mozzy is slowly becoming more of an outdoor cat.
Saturday:
Will and the two oldest came home on Saturday night from their trip to the Netherlands (more on that to come!) and they brought back a bounty of treats.
Monday:
Delilah and William sporting bracelets that Auntie Nadia made for them.
We tried on Monday afternoon to go on a walk at a nearby park. Well, the road to get there was a slushy mess and we decided to turn around instead of potentially getting stuck. So then we opted to try a playground that we haven't been to before, but as we pulled into the parking lot we noticed that the playground was an island in what looked like a lake. The snow is melting fast and the water needs a place to go.
So with our hopes on the third time being the charm we drove to the school down the road from our place and tried out that playground as we haven't been there before. The kids had a blast there but a strong and cold wind picked up and nipped at our noses so we didn't last long.
We left the park after only a few minutes with the promise of for sure doing something as a family tomorrow.
Tuesday:
Fresh snow with kitty paw prints going every which way
The promised family outing worked out to be a lovely walk through the forest.
