Last week marked seven months with our dear Clara Janelle
This past month Clara got upgraded to a bigger bed. She naps fine in there but still prefers Mom and Dad's bed for sleeping at night.
We went through a spell where I thought she was teething because she was so cranky, but alas, no teeth yet.
Clara learned how to crawl down and up the ledge onto the landing in the mudroom. This has unlocked a few more squarefeet for her, and has me on higher alert when she's crawling around so she doesn't try to crawl down the stairs in there.
She is getting better and hands and knees crawling but still defaults to army crawling if she needs to get somewhere fast.
It's been very handy having a crawling Clara as she can follow the kids around now when they move from room to room to play.
Trying more and more fruits and veggies. She loves to gnaw on a large piece of raw fruit or veg. Banana is her favourite food to eat and Delilah is always eager to spoon feed her.
Clara is definitely a Daddy's girl and she wants to be in his arms whenever he gets home from work, or even if she just sees him around the house.
She learned how to wave and very quickly started saying Hi as well. Her first wave was to Mrs Jordan at Coffee Social who she always has big smiles for. Jordan waved at Clara and she waved right back. And then to dispel my disbelief, she waved back a second time, confirming that that was indeed a purposeful wave.
I can't remember the first time she said Hi, but it sounds more like Haa and accompanies her wave.
Clara hasn't gained much weight but with how much she's been moving around it makes sense. And she still has adorable thigh rolls and round cheeks so we're not worried.
What will the next month hold for Clara? We can't wait to find out!
