Wednesday:
Such a fun crew. We really enjoyed this five day weekend that Will had and soaked up all the family time we could!
Introduced the kids to star fruit as a bit of a treat which worked well after a busy, but very fun, day.
Thursday:
Delilah wanted a selfie of us girls once we got Clara dressed for the day
When the kids are playing with something that technically they probably shouldn't be playing with, but it's keeping them quiet so I don't dare intervene. Clara with the baby monitor and James with the toilet paper.
We have been loving the warmer weather and have been enjoying most of our dinners outside.
Friday:
Collecting some bouquets while walking through a forest
Watching Dad at work
We went to the gun show on Friday afternoon
James asked if I could buy him "Da really massive side by side" and I said that the best I could do was take a picture.
Such a fun crew. We really enjoyed this five day weekend that Will had and soaked up all the family time we could!
We took the kids to a playground that evening. James ran off to get a stick to work on chopping the tree down, and the two others went to the playground. A vast difference there but everyone was entertained.
Clara watching everyone's shenanigans.
Saturday:
There were lots of events going on this weekend so we went to Corlane's anniversary party and then to the children's festival.
The kids had fun there and were pretty excited to get their faces painted.
We had a bit of rain but thankfully it was only a medium sized cloud which didn't stick around for long. Clara slept nice and snug despite the excitement all around her.
A butterfly and two foxes replaced our children for the afternoon.
Sunday:
We were supposed to have people over for lunch on Sunday, but then got invited with our guests to go to someone else's house. We went and had a lovely time but that meant I still had soup and buns waiting uneaten at home. So we invited these friends over for dinner. It was our first time hosting a church family with more than just one child, so we were curious to see how it would go. With the weather in our favour the big kids spent the whole time outside and it worked just great, even with having six additional guests for dinner. And I had no soup left by the end of the night, so I'd consider it a success!
Monday:
It's so wild to me that Delilah is reading now. I was sitting at the table reading on Monday and she grabbed her book and sat next to me. A precious way to pass time together.
Mozzy hung out with us outside while we ate dinner on Monday.
He's been working on healing an injury the last few days and has been hiding a lot so it was good to see him outside and seeming a bit more like himself.
Tuesday:
Tuesday was busy with a trip to the pool and errands but we ended our afternoon with a stop at the pet store for some entertainment and dreaming
On Monday Clara took a tumble off a patio chair. Thankfully a few scrapes were the worst of it.
We walked over to a friends house on Tuesday evening for a birthday party and on our walk home from 9:45-10pm we were in awe of how light it still was outside. Wild how different eight hours north makes. And yet Prince George still is only half way up BC. Makes me even more in awe of what my mom would have experienced living in the arctic circle and having the sun never set during the summers.
