Dominion Day At Huble Homestead

On Canada Day we took a trip to Huble Homestead to see their Dominion Day festivities.

The kids were super excited when I mentioned to them there would be a petting zoo there!

We all loved this goat who could be too much of a butt-head and was subjected to tennis balls on his horns.

The goats and sheep were great for petting, but the bunnies were perfect for a little snuggle.

Checking out equipment in the old hay barn

There was a bat flying around in this cabin! Do you see it above the blue cupboard there?

They had lots of field games set up for people to pick up at their leisure. The kites were a big hit with our kids.

Those chubby arms

A fishing camp was set up along the river

Such cute cabins!

Watching the blacksmith. All the kids got to take home a nail that they witnessed getting made.

Coming up from the root cellar

Having some fun with a game of horseshoes

Happy baby

Back at it with the kites

Delilah and William at the 3 legged race (they're just between the outhouses)

And Will and I gave it a go in the adult race! We can't remember ever 3-legged racing before and we definitely could use some practice before attempting it again. Hahaha

We had such a fun day out there together!
