WWW: Toads and Moths

Wednesday:
We went to Purden Lake on Wednesday with some church friends

This neat moth kept fluttering around and landed on our picnic blanket many times

Clara had so much fun playing in the water and sand

Friday:
Delilah's arms have been itching to hold our friend's little baby. She was very thrilled to get some snuggles.

Saturday:
We were at the school playground on Saturday afternoon which is right in line with the airport's runway so we got to see this plane heading out to fight forest fires in Vanderhoof

Clara had lots of fun walking around the playground

And laying in the gravel waving her arms and legs around to get a maximum sensory experience.

James' confidence has really grown and he can manuever obstacles like this which makes him feel so strong!

Still finding lots of toads in the yard!

Sunday:
A 'little' Sunday afternoon chess game. I put little in quotations because playing chess with Will is so difficult, it makes my head hurt! But it's also so fun to have such a challenge. He is much better at it than I am, even though he only learned this past winter. Will won this match and I think he would have even if he didn't have Batman subbing in as a black pawn!

We ate a picnic dinner in the grass on Sunday evening and I thought Clara's tutu was just so cute I had to get a picture of her.

Delilah requested a family picture

And she played photographer for Will and I

Besties

Monday:
We found a really colourful (dead) moth outside. Assuming one of the cats got it.

And we found another toad. This one got to go for a little ride in a toy truck through the lawn

Joined by Clara in my afternoon sit-outside-in-the-shade-on-the-grass

Another picnic dinner on Monday night

William wanted to show me some ball skills he's been working on.

Cute to see him with the concentration tongue sticking out
