WWW: End Of Our Valley Trip

Wednesday:
Wednesday we got to visit with some friends in the morning

This book of 101 dog breeds was well read by Clara

Multi-use pool saw more action when dry than wet

Thursday:
Went on a walk with the kids and Jonah on Thursday morning where he showed his nieces and nephews all his super cool forts in this park

This was the only one I took a picture of though, through the trees and near the pond.

Fun little bird house

And of course we had to stop for a while to watch this excavator at work with all three boys pressed up against the fence.

Busy in a pile of dirt

Friday:
And Friday morning the kids and I began the drive back home to PG. You may not know, but Will spent the past two weeks working in Smithers which is why the rest of us stayed extra long in the Valley. But after two weeks away from home it was time to head back.

I had very low expectations for the drive, especially since I hadn't driven longer than an hour on my own before. I knew an 8hr trip, not including stops, with four kids would be a pretty big undertaking and I didn't want to get stressed about it. And we did really well. We stopped at the playground in Lac La Hache at 2pm and burned off some energy before the remainder of the drive.

Clara took the opportunity of me stepping away to take pictures to walk into the lake and got her shoes all wet...

So neat to see the fall colours coming out at this time of year.
Delilah took many pictures like this during the drive and I find the unfocused look to be beautiful in it's own way.
