Saturday:
I wonder if all my blog posts will be coming to you more delayed than the typical, "Here's what we did this past week." And that's going to be okay. Hopefully I can at least keep within the past month so it doesn't feel like an overwhelming amount to keep up with.
I'm also toying again with the idea of trying to make this more private somehow or another. I haven't been able to find a foolproof login system, so I'm considering now maybe only doing an email update? Several of you are already signed up for email notifications, and I know a few of you only read my blog through those emails and don't even go to the website. So doing only an email wouldn't change anything for those folks...
We'll see what I come up with...
Will started taking walls down in the second house!
We found the doorway for what used to be the ensuite bathroom, and were entertained by the faux rock installed over the wood panelling
Clara . As if someone favoured the rock over the wood look? Very interesting...

Clara and her faithful side kicks.
We have been so torn on keeping these dogs or not. There are some moments where they are so maddening and I'm ready to throw in the towel, and then times like this where I couldn't imagine not having them around. It's been a struggle...
Sunday:
Delilah had two friends over for Sunday lunch and we managed to fit all eight of us on the quad for a rip around!
Decorating on Monday night for a very special birthday tomorrow!
Delilah's!!!
A candle in her oatmeal
Delilah had also requested for her birthday that we eat cupcakes in the 4Runner, in the forest. So Will cleared this trail for us to drive down and fulfil our girly's birthday wish. Since Will was working all week we planned this birthday event for Friday when he would be home, but then ended up busy with something else which bumped our birthday festivities into the twilight.
And I don't know what sort of mid-expression I caught here, but it is too good not to share.
Sunday:
Cupcakes
And presents!
Sunday:
Our first power outage was a success!
I thought I had a box of candles somewhere, but haven't found them... And the kids just got little flashlights in September but 2/3 are broken, and the remaining one we could not locate. So our emergency preparedness is something that will need to be further addressed, but the freezer, pump house, and furnace all work just fine on the generator which I am very grateful for if more power outages are in our future...
Monday:
At the end (for now) of this trail.
I figure that the person who designed this stove didn't have children... That handle is the perfect height for Clara to stand on!
Tuesday:
Going for a drive in the daylight this time
I plunked Clara in the kitchen sink so she could watch her daddy working outside.
We took family photos and I think these munchkins are just the adorablest ever!
