Such a beautiful winter wonderland to go driving down our road.
The kids got this playmobile aquarium playset that actually holds water, so they got to give that a try while Clara was napping one afternoon.
Will was out for dinner this evening so I made one of my favourite dishes, and his least favourite - potato soup!

The snow is so deep it's difficult for Clara to move around in. When we went sledding this afternoon I put a piece of plywood down for her and she had a great time from the safety of the hard, flat surface.
Our kids have lots of family pictures they use in their play, and one of Will's passport photos is also drifting around the house. It's Clara's favourite and she was so thrilled when he gave it to her. On Monday morning she was walking around with this saying "Dada, Dada!"
And I thought it was the passport photo, same size, right? So I was replying, "Yeah, it's Dada."
And then I got a look at it.
Ahahaha!
It was not Dada.

Delilah and I both lost our sewing projects in the car accident last summer which upset both of us. She was just about finished a handsewn nine-patch that she was turning into a gift for someone and so it was quite disappointing to have to start something over. So one afternoon we got her started on a new project - some flying geese strips which she's going to turn into a different gift for that same someone.
We had a mean flu run through our house. It was rough and hit everyone hard. It was poor Clara's first time getting sick like that and it was so sad to see how depleted and defeated she felt. She was sick at the same time as I was so I was very grateful that she is obsessed with her daddy as he was the one who took care of her and consoled her those days.
