Little William: 9 Months Old!

As sweet and snuggly as our little guy can be, he is also quite the trouble maker. If he's not trying to splash in the toilet, there is a high chance you can find Little William digging through the cupboards! This stage makes me grateful for how few cupboards we have! 😆

"Aleana, Little William's monthly update is late!"

Oh yes, I am aware. But there is a method to my madness. Don't worry!

Often when people post nine month updates they use the phrase, 'Out longer than in!'
I wish I could say the same but as you may remember Little William was in for far too long!
Yet I've held this update back by 9 days so I too can now say that! 😄
But don't worry, I'm writing this on December 22nd, so all of the info included here is accurate for his tenth month on the outside. You just won't be reading it until January 1st.

At 9 months old Little William crawls super-duper fast. And if he's heading for something he knows he is not allowed to be getting into (ie; the toilet, shoes, garbage can) and you reprimand him, he 'kicks into second/high gear' and smack-smack-smacks his way along even quicker! It's the cutest thing ever with his big baby hands hitting the floor and his padded diapered bum swaying with each movement. Oh how we love him!

On the day he turned eight months old I caught Little William pushing the coffee table around and walking behind it! Since then he's only gotten steadier and faster! He can push furniture or his baby walker to walk and get where he needs to be. Crawling is still a speedier mode of transportation for his though.

Little William also thinks he can walk without any support. If he is standing against the coffee table he will attempt to take a confidant step away from the coffee table towards the couch (or any other combination of furniture) and then promptly topples over. His brain is ahead of his body!

That being said, he can stand completely unassisted for seven whole seconds before sitting back down or reaching for something sturdy.

Since the last month, two new little white teeth are peaking through from the top of his smiley mouth. As much as I adore a gummy beam, those little teefers are sure adorable as well!

As a result of the new teeth, Little William has been even more bitey than before.
Or maybe we just realize it more because there are top and bottom teeth clenching down now.
He loves to bite. Especially when he's all riled up playing or cozy in bed. Shoulders, tummies, legs. No body part of yours is off limits. If Little William can get his mouth on you expect some sharp baby fangs to dig into you! You've been warned! 😛

He much prefers finger food over being spoon-fed and even went on a short breakfast hunger strike while he refused to eat his usual bowl of oatmeal. He had some dry Cheerios for a few days and I've managed to convert him back to the oatmeal. 😉

While Will and I went away for our anniversary, Little William got to have his very first sleep over - at Grandma and Grandpa's house!

We recently weighed this chuck and he's coming in at a whopping 35lbs!
He hit that marker much sooner than expected. Time to buy a new carseat - Pronto!

Little William absolutely adores Delilah, and vice versa.
These two make each other giggle like you wouldn't believe.
They love to play together (even though they both struggle with sharing) and are often found tickling each other, holding hands, or wrestling.

In addition to saying, "Muma" and "Dada," we've also heard Little William calling for Delilah. Of course it's not pronounced perfectly (comes out sounding like 'Y-eye-a!'), but we know what he means and it melts my heart.
